Ethiopia Masincho Premium

We’ve seen the 74158 variety become more and more popular and widely available, so we’ve been buying it when we see it! It seems to be the most widely processed single coffee variety in Ethiopia at the moment, and we’ve had the pleasure of trying it from a lot of different farms processed in several different ways. This offering from Sidama is a perfect foil to the Big Sur Sewda Premium and the Sey Chorso Bule, because it’s a little more like a dry white wine than a juicy peach tea or slice of watermelon. It has all of the clear florality with a little bit more green grape, Jasmine tea, and dried stone fruit.

This coffee was roasted by Big Sur in Shanghai, China and rested appropriately about 8 weeks before freezing. This coffee continues to open up as it ages, which is why we’ve intentionally aged them to near-peak before freezing. Coffees are thawed to order.
