Kenya Kivanga Estate

This washed Kenya offering is easily one of the best Kenyan coffees we’ve had this year. It’s got all of the sweet, intense red fruit without the tomato or savory qualities. It’s really dynamic to the brewing method as well, sometimes even leaning more into a tropical fruit punch territory, but it’s one of the most fun coffees we’ve had this year. Unlike the communal processing stations in Kenya, the Kivanga Estate processes its own coffees, so the coffees are traceable to the farm, and are not blended with other estates and lots.

This coffee was roasted by Big Sur in Shanghai, China and rested appropriately about 8 weeks before freezing. This coffee continues to open up as it ages, which is why we’ve intentionally aged them to near-peak before freezing. Coffees are thawed to order.
